Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of New Axiom AI (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

New Axiom AI is a conversational AI product. Its distinguishing feature is honest reliability tiering: every answer carries a tier, and only claims decided by an exact verification gate are labelled "verified." All other answers are labelled with an honest tier (for example "heuristic" or "reference") indicating they are useful leads, not proofs.

2. Not professional advice

The Service can make mistakes. Except where an answer is explicitly marked "verified" by an exact gate, outputs may be incomplete or incorrect. Nothing the Service produces is legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Verify anything important before relying on it, and consult a qualified professional for consequential decisions.

2A. Research Lab

Research Lab runs bounded, allowlisted experiments and produces certificate bundles. A completed job may still be diagnostic rather than proven. A wall-crossing signal, proof/control conflict, failed gate, or unrecognized tier is held for human review and is not automatically accepted. Finite model calibrations do not establish that a corresponding real-world physical theory is true.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.
  • Password recovery is available only for accounts with a previously verified recovery email. A reset invalidates older sessions for that account.
  • You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live).
  • One person or entity per account unless we agree otherwise.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, or generate harmful, abusive, or deceptive content.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent security, rate limits, or usage quotas.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service, or use automated means to extract data at scale, without our written permission.
  • Submit content you do not have the right to submit, or others' sensitive personal data without a lawful basis.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us the limited licence needed to operate the Service — including transmitting your prompts to the AI providers described in the Privacy Policy — to generate responses and to store your history. If you publish a share link, you are responsible for the content you choose to make public.

That licence covers running the Service for you. Contributing a tool or a discovery to the community library is a separate thing, needs a separate act on your part, and is governed by section 5A.

5A. Contributed tools and discoveries

You can contribute a tool you built or a discovery you found to the New Axiom library, where other users can find, install, and run it. This section governs that, and only that.

  • Contribution is opt-in. Uploading a tool is a deliberate action. Uploading a discovery is off by default: with the setting off you are offered a one-click Add button on a qualifying finding, and nothing is uploaded unless you click it. Turning the setting on is what makes qualifying discoveries upload automatically, and you can turn it off again at any time.
  • What may be contributed. Only compositions over our verification gates, and code that passes our security screen and its own stated checks. We do not accept arbitrary uploads; a submission that fails verification is rejected, is not stored, and earns nothing.
  • What becomes public. A contribution publishes its content, its verification tier and receipt, and your username, so a tool's origin travels with its results. For a contributed code tool this includes the source code — the library serves it so other users can see what they are about to run. Do not contribute anything you are unwilling to have read.
  • Licence. You keep ownership. For as long as your contribution is published, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and run it as part of the Service, and you grant every other user a non-exclusive licence to install, run, and keep their copy. You must have the right to grant this — do not contribute work that is not yours to share.
  • Attribution. Contributions are cited by your username, the verification tier, an identifier, and the date. Attribution is a feature of the library, not a claim by us that the contribution is correct; the tier states what was actually checked.
  • Withdrawal, described accurately. You can withdraw a contribution at any time. A withdrawn discovery is removed from the database. A withdrawn tool is delisted and can no longer be installed — but copies other users installed before you withdrew are in their accounts and remain theirs, and we cannot retrieve them. Contribute on that understanding.
  • Removal and takedown. We may remove a contribution that breaches section 4, is malicious, or infringes someone's rights. If you believe a contribution infringes yours, contact us (section 13) with enough detail to identify it and we will review it.

Credits and tool points. Contributing can earn two things, and they are deliberately different:

  • Tool points are a reputation score. They are not spendable and have no cash value.
  • Credits can be spent only against your own in-app usage allowances. Credits are not money. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash, are non-refundable, and expire 365 days after they are earned. They are not a security, a stored-value instrument, or a currency, and we may change or discontinue them.
  • Both are earned for actions — an upload accepted, your tool installed or run by someone else, a discovery added — and never for a verification verdict. Nothing you can do makes a result "verified" that the gates did not verify, and no amount of credit changes a tier. This is the same rule as section 6: more spend buys more compute, never a different verdict.
  • Earning requires a signed-in account. We may revoke credits and points obtained through duplicate accounts, automated submission, or contributions later withdrawn or removed under this section.

6. Plans, billing, and rate limits

  • The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled.
  • Usage is subject to fair-use rate limits that vary by plan; these protect the Service and keep it available to everyone.
  • You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
  • Paid plans buy more compute, higher limits, and more features — never a different verdict. A "verified" result is identical on every plan; billing never influences the verification gates.

7. Publishing sites and domain registrations

  • You may publish a site you build to a public address. Published pages are public to anyone with the link, you are responsible for their content, and you can take a site offline at any time. We may remove a published site that breaches section 4 — in particular, pages that impersonate another organisation or collect other people's credentials.
  • Domains bought through the Service are registered with you as the registrant, using the contact details you provide. ICANN requires those details to be accurate and requires you to verify your email address; an unverified or inaccurate registrant contact can lead the registry to suspend the domain.
  • A domain registration is a one-time charge, non-refundable once the domain is registered, because the registry bills us immediately and irreversibly. If registration fails, you are refunded automatically and in full.
  • Auto-renew is off unless you turn it on. We will email you before a domain expires. A domain that expires is not our responsibility to recover.
  • The domain is yours. Request the transfer authorization code at any time and we will provide it within five business days, as ICANN requires.

8. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an evolving basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may modify these terms; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that outputs are accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose, except for the narrow, explicit guarantee that a "verified" tier reflects the result of a deterministic verification gate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, New Axiom AI and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or to protect the Service. On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive (for example content licence limits, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
